The Isagenix incentive program “IsaDerby Winners – Let’s Go Borneo” was held from 3-8 February 2017 in Sabah, with the support from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah. 80 guests from Europe, Australia, and New Zealand attended the 5-day program.

Sabah Tourism Board greeted the winners with a traditional garlanding upon arrival at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) and a cultural extravaganza during their welcome dinner at Spice Island, Sutera Harbour Marina and Country Club. A cultural show featuring Sabah’s multi ethnic groups was performed, which included the popular traditional blowpipe (sumpit) for audience participation as well as the famous Murut ‘Magunatip’ bamboo dance segment.

The IsaDerby winners stayed at the beautiful Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa, Kota Kinabalu. During their stay, they were introduced to more in-depth, the traditions and customs of the different ethnic groups of Sabah at the Mari-Mari Cultural Village. To make their trip more memorable, they caught a glimpse of Bornean wildlife by taking a 45-minute flight to Sandakan for a half-day adventure. They visited the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre (BSBCC) and had the opportunity to see the Bornean Sun Bears in action as well as a close-up of the cubs at the indoor nursery.
